Dear Friend,
How you doing, man? I hope you're fine. I have been hearing that you have flunked some of your school classes, and I understand it is because of your band. I know you are a great singer and guitarist, but somehow that has affected your school focus. I know you got new material and that you have done some great music, but it is not helping you on school, and just to be clear, I am not telling you to stop doing music, and to separate from your band, actually is nothing like that. I just happen to know that this is affecting your scores on the ib program and i just wanted to give some piece of advice.
You have been giving more time and attention to your band, making new songs, writing new lyrics, making arrengements of your old songs, creating melodies, and giving shows. And that makes you give no attention at all to your school, to your classes, and you are flunking them, man. I know you are really smart but you are just too lazy, you could win your classes with almost no effort at all, but instead of doing it, you let it lose and don't care. I know you want to graduate and don't repeat the senior year. You used to be really good at math, you even taught me some stuff I didn't understood, but now I do because of you. You weren't that great in your other classes, but you never flunked them.
You don't have to quit to your band, or just saty focused on your school, what you need is a schedule, becasue with some time for everything I know you can do it so much better, and that way you won't flunk your classes and worry your mom. Just ornganize, with time to study, to do homework, even if it's boring, and with time, for sure, to practice with your band, and I am sure if you do this, you won't have to sneak out you house to go practice, I bet you if you do this that your mom will let you practice in your own garage.
So with this I let you make the decision, but I hope you just listen to any one. Just follow some advice and you will go on with your school and with your band, and I know you will go far and further. So, I'll be seeing you, man. And I'm still waiting for your invitation to your shows, man. Hope you do great, both with your band and with your classes. We will keep talking.
Your friend,
Trooper
